Wes Davis had been reported missing by his wife, Jackie Davis, on December 17, 2024. However, unfortunate news greeted the family this holiday season as they mourned a close family member.
According to Jackie’s statement, Wes went missing from his home late at night. His wife often went to bed early and didn’t notice his absence until she woke around 12:30 am.
Soon, she noticed that Wes wasn’t in his recliner, but Jackie assumed he might be around the house, either in the living room or the basement. However, Wes’s car was missing from the garage, which sparked concern in Jackie.
Further, Wes had detailed his plans to go to the hospital a day before but left without informing anyone. His phone was switched off around the same time and couldn’t be contacted.
At 5 am, Jackie called the hospital, but they had not registered anyone under Wes’s name for a visit. After consideration, she filed the missing person’s report for Wes Davis and waited for good news.
Additionally, his wife mentioned that Wes had left in a red Hyundai Accent hatchback with a faded tag #9FG0323. During his last sighting, Wes was wearing black sweatpants, a black Old Navy sweatshirt, and black slip-on Skechers sneakers.
As the Facebook post garnered netizens’ attention, many accused Jackie of faking the case to boost engagement on her page. Later, she clarified that the posts weren’t scams and urged search assistance.
For days, Jackie continued to contact the authorities and volunteer search party. Unfortunately, there weren’t any leads in the case, and officials failed to track Wes’s vehicle.
However, on December 19, 2024, Jackie confirmed that authorities had found her husband lifeless. His wife assured her followers that she would update them about the case in detail in a few days.
Wes Davis was a former pastor at Ashbury who shared a passion for making music!
The Dover, Delaware native Wes had a lively life as he helped and encouraged people around him. Given his affiliation with the local Church, he often performed at the Sunday carol and other charity events.
Moreover, the deceased had a local band, which included five other members. Wes often uploaded snippets from his studio as they worked hard to create tracks.
A few days before missing, Wes had shared a piano cover of Lana Del Ray’s Summertime Sadness. His peers praised his performance, with many inviting him to perform at the Christmas event.
Similarly, Wes got engaged to Jackie in 2019 and married her a year later. The couple shared a supportive bond as Jackie often shared and praised her husband’s musical talents.
After his disappearance, she contacted the 47 ABC-WMDT for an exclusive interview. Jackie took the opportunity to talk about her missing husband with her friend, Michael Gregory.
Additionally, the interview helped to gather more assistance for the case as people had started looking for Wes near Seaford Hospital and Riverside Hospital in Onley, Virginia.
However, the efforts had been fruitless for days. Jackie thanked everyone involved in the case following Wes’s passing.
In an emotional message, she wrote, “I’m so grateful. Please forgive me if it takes some time to respond to messages. As soon as arrangements are made, of course, I’ll pass that along too.“
Many have sent Jackie encouraging messages and invited her for Christmas dinner across the state. The grieving wife has tried her best to respond to each message.
