Jack Doherty has been the face of online backlash after crashing his McLaren on a highway and leaving his injured cameraman in the vehicle. His followers have urged Kick Stream to ban Doherty and his content from the platform.
In his recent stream, Doherty drives his car on a rainy day while using his phone. The streamer doesn’t have eyes on the road, leaving the steering wheels unattended while reading his chat while driving.
Moreover, his cameraman, Michael David, continues to film the moment while Doherty speeds up his car on the highway. The streamer instantly loses vehicle control due to heavy rainfall and crashes into the side rails.

Soon, the camera fogs up, and Doherty screams, “Yo, watch out! Open the door, open the door. We’re locked in here.” At the moment, the clip showcases a white screen due to the smoke coming out of the car.
The streamer urges the passerby to help them as two people try to get him out of the car. Meanwhile, his cameraman tries to kick his way out by smashing the window.
Despite the moment’s seriousness, Doherty didn’t stop recording while struggling to come out of the car. He then panned the camera to show his car missing the front hood while Michael attempted to catch his breath.
In a video taken moments after the crash, the streamer showed the car’s parts scattered over the road, causing a traffic disturbance. His cameraman had injuries all over his face, but Jack Doherty continued to make him film the incident, causing a stir online.
After the accident, Doherty and his cameraman received emergency medical attention. Driving behind the streamer, his friends came to console him in the video.
Fans sent heartfelt messages to Michael after Jack Doherty posted a video of them in a hospital!
Despite his friend’s request to give Michael a break from filming, Doherty declined, claiming, “Let him have that, and I think we can use another to record here. Make it look good.“
The video immediately amassed millions of views, and viewers criticized Doherty’s behavior. Regardless of Michael’s injury, the streamer didn’t let him rest and continued to make him work.
After interrogation with the highway police, Doherty posted a video from a hospital room as he and his cameraman received treatment for their injuries. Further, Michael had to get stitches on his forehead and eyebrows while the streamer had a routine checkup.

However, the video received hateful comments from the fans, one of whom wrote, “You only cared about your car. Driving like that in low visibility, looking at your phone, putting everyone around you at risk. You did bad. I hope you learn, kid.“
Moreover, many wanted the streamer to cover Michael’s medical bill as the accident occurred at the highway’s turnpike, which often has heavy traffic. They mentioned that Doherty got lucky as it didn’t turn out as deadly as it could have.
On the other hand, viewers have flooded Michael’s Instagram with well-wishes and have advised him to leave the streamer’s team as his life was put at risk for content creation. According to many, Michael could’ve been in a severe state if the passerby hadn’t helped him out of the car.
One of Michael’s followers mentioned, “He’s not your friend!!! Friends wouldn’t reach for their phone and record, but they would jump to get you out asap. It’s so sad to see how he reacted. Social media bozo.“
Amidst such comments, Michael hasn’t provided a public statement as he currently wants to take care of his health.
