If Eric Adams were to step down or be forced out of office in the future, the line of succession for mayor of the Big Apple would go to Jumaane Williams.

While it is evident that Jumaane Williams will gain power once he becomes a power, his salary and net worth will also spike, jumping from $184,800 per year to $258,750 per year.
According to various online reports, his estimated net worth currently ranges between $500k and $1 million.
Jumaane Williams does not exactly have smooth sailing regarding legal fees and taxes!
Unlike his smooth political progression, there are several public financial records and reports of Jumaane Williams online that are full of ups and downs.
Back in 2008, Williams owned an Earth Tonez Cafe in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood that closed before the end of the year. As per the New York Post, health inspectors found eleven violations at his vegetarian place.
Some of the violations were insects in the kitchen, a missing toilet seat, and no valid food service permit. Eventually, they shut down the place before the year-end, and as per reports, it had over $10,000 in state taxes till 2018 and reportedly dropped to $2,151.03 by 2021.
Furthermore, he reportedly still owed a loan of $625,000 in 2018, which he took out to finance the vegan sandwich shop. Jumaane Williams lent $389,600 in 2006 through an adjustable-rate mortgage on his two-family home in Canarsie.
