The Albany, Georgia native Gleaton Jones unfortunately met a life-threatening car accident on December 10, 2024, leaving him with severe critical injuries.
As per the latest updates, the former University of Georgia (UGA) football player Gleaton Jones is in ICU, fighting for his life.
He got a critical brain injury from the accident, so he underwent a partial skull removal procedure to prevent further brain swelling.
Given Gleaton Jones’ critical circumstance, everyone in the Albany community is praying for a miracle and lifting him up in their prayers.
Porterfield Methodist Church hosted a special prayer service for Gleaton Jones, requesting everyone to join and pray for his recovery on December 11 at noon in the sanctuary.
Meanwhile, netizens online are also praying for him and Gleaton Jones’ parents, Marlon and Kirk Jones.
Kris Morril, Albany, GA native, wrote on his Facebook wall that,
If you are a God-fearing individual, I ask that you please say a prayer and lift Gleaton Jones up before our Heavenly Father. I don’t have any details, but I know that a young man, who is loved by many is fighting desperately for his time here. I know that there is a family that is hurting at the moment and hoping for a miracle.
Likewise, in Georgia Bulldogs fan forums, user NetParDawg wrote, “He needs a miracle. Please lift him up in your prayers.“
Another wrote, “Prayers for Gleaton Jones🙏🙏 prayers for the Family and friends. In Jesus name we pray Amen.“
Starting his athletic journey from Deerfield-Windsor School as an excellent football player, he played basketball as well at UGA. According to Georgia Dogs official page, Gleaton got All-State, All-Region, and Presidential Honors.
In addition, he proudly wore #49 as a freshmen preferred walk-on running back for the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2021 season.
