Authorities reported the missing case of Joshua James McCoy but later discovered his body, making Angela German one of the culprits in the case. An investigation is underway to identify the components of the incident.
According to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office report, Joshua had been missing from his home since the late evening of Saturday, November 9th, 2024. Reports suggested that the 5-year-old had been napping with his mother before disappearing.
Moreover, the child had autism, and their parents mentioned that he only responded to Josh or Joshie. His height, weight, eye color, and completion were released for public information as search parties were dispatched throughout the state.

Unfortunately, Joshua was located approximately 1.6 miles northwest of his residence and almost 2 miles by road. Authorities are collecting evidence but haven’t revealed the cause of his passing for legal reasons.
Soon after the office released a notice about the victim, many flooded Facebook, accusing Angela German of the crimes. Many claimed that she was Joshua’s mother and added that she planned the missing case.
Additionally, user Wentland Tara went on Facebook Live claiming she is the child’s aunt and stated, “I know the mama did it. She directed the police towards his body. She told the cops she was too poor to feed and keep him.“
Tara confessed that Angela German hadn’t reported her child missing until it was dark and allegedly lit a bonfire before the cops arrived. The police report was made by a third party rather than the child’s family.
Further, she alleged that German had given inappropriate medicine to Joshua to commit the act and later disposed of his body away from home to deceive the police. However, such claims haven’t been confirmed by the officials.
Facebook users have circulated flyers to locate Angela German in hopes of providing justice to the child!
Authorities reported that Joshua had a cell phone while disappearing, and they tried to locate him using it. However, the process didn’t provide the necessary results to find the victim.
Officials searched the property, suspecting that a known family member had picked him up while Joshua and his mother slept for over 4.5 hours.
The next day, the County Office deployed K9 units and ground and drone operators and drained a pond near Joshua’s home to continue the search.
On November 11th, 2024, SAR volunteers and police deputies continued to sweep the area while several fire department members looked for suspicious property. Search and rescue members from several counties within Oregon and California provided CORSAIR assistance.
The duration of the search concerned close family members and community members as they prayed for the child’s safety. His official flyers received thousands of likes and shares on Facebook.
One user wrote, “2 full nights that poor little boy has had to spend outside! I don’t understand why our local law enforcement isn’t giving any type of an update on the search and rescue process as of Monday morning.“
Additionally, people urged to take German into custody as she had remained silent on the case for a long time. Users mentioned that she needs to get what she deserves after harming an innocent child.
Meanwhile, the County Office has urged the public to avoid spreading misinformation that could hinder the legal process. They confirmed that no one was in custody and remarked that it was a time for healing and remembrance.
