A famous Twitter user, Pop Base, took a screenshot of Talia’s instagram story about the same announcement and uploaded it on Twitter, writing, “Erik Menendez’s daughter says the Menendez brothers will receive a decision on their appeal for freedom within 60 days.“
The post reached over 3 Million views within a few hours, where netizens appeared shocked by the news of Erik Menendez having a daughter as he was unmarried when he went to prison in 1996 at age 25.
Talia Menendez is the step-daughter of Erik Menendez, shared with his wife, Tammi Menendez!
Erik Menendez is a married man with a wife and children. However, his daughter Talia is not his own blood, whereas his wife, Tammi Menendez, shared with her ex-husband Chuck.
According to the reports, Erik Menendez met his wife, Tammi Menendez, while still in jail, though the exact date is not yet available.
Tammi learned about Erik due to his rising popularity in homicide cases. Similarly, after she became interested in knowing more about his personal life and experience, she contacted him in jail through letters.
At that time, she was married to Chuck Saccoman and had teenage daughters whose names have been kept secret to date.
After their marriage, when People interviewed her about her relationship with Erik when she was still with Chuck, she said, “I told [Chuck] that I was going to write to Erik. He said to go ahead.“
According to her statement, his relationship with Chuck was not going well. Further, in 1996, after giving birth to their second daughter, Talia, Chuck ended his life when his wife found out about him abusing their 15-year-old teenage daughter.
After experiencing tragic incidents with her husband and daughter, Tammi became more close to Erik, sharing their personal issues.
Erik also shared his experience establishing a friendship with Tammi, saying, “I received thousands of letters, but I set this one aside (Tammi’s letter). I got a feeling. And I wrote her back. Tammi and I continued to correspond. I enjoyed writing to her. It was a slow friendship.“
Talia Menendez has been very close with Erik, visiting him in prison since an early age!
After Erik and Tammi’s love story became more robust, the couple decided to meet, and their first meeting took place in August 1997 at Folsom State Prison.
Later, Erik said that visiting Tammi was the most beautiful experience of his life. As their love grew, Tammi moved to Sacramento with her daughter and started visiting her love four times a week.
After a few years of dating, the couple tied the knot in 1998 in prison, and they have stayed together ever since.
Further, after Tammi’s marriage, her daughter Talia Menendez became close to Erik Menendez since she visited him with her mother and grew a strong bond as a father and daughter.
Now, Talia Menendez is probably around 26- 27 years old and has been fighting for her father’s freedom as the court had submitted the childhood trauma and horrific experience he received from his parents, Jose Menendez and Kitty Menendez.
On her official Instagram account, she uploaded several photos of her father, sharing her experience of not being able to meet him daily as normal kids do.
Although she has not revealed her face or personal details for privacy reasons, she keeps updating us about her father’s and uncle’s cases online.
