YouTuber Jesus Miguel Vivanco Gracia, popularly known as El Jasper, had been missing for days before authorities discovered his body ditched in a field. Police explained that his state could be the result of his criminal past.
The 29-year-old was discovered by one of his closest relatives at El Quemadito, belonging to the municipality of Costa Rica, Culiacan. El Jasper’s body had clear signs of struggle and abuse.
Jasper had been missing from his home for two days, probing the investigation team to put him on a risk list. An armed group had reportedly abducted the YouTuber before his unfortunate demise.
Additionally, the autopsy reports revealed that the gang tied ropes around Jasper’s neck and wrists and blindfolded him during his final moments.

Police discovered over 70 firearm wounds all over his body, and the abductors kept him in hostile conditions.
However, without official permission, the triggering pictures of his body began circulating online, which created difficulties in conducting the investigation.
Meanwhile, Jasper’s family suggested the Mexican cartel’s involvement in the case because the creator maintained a close connection with the group. Previously, the cartel had harmed another person in Sinola.
Further, they added that Jasper often communicated with the Los Chapitos group, especially its leader, Ivan Archivaldo Salazar.
The gang was responsible for kidnapping, extermination, and mass violence in the area. Legal actions against the cartel were often futile due to powerful connections.
Regardless, authorities are still investigating the El Jasper case and have requested that anyone with information on the event contact the police department.

The creator rose to fame for appearing in videos with his friend and business partner Markitos Toys, a Mexican influencer with over 5 million followers on Instagram and TikTok.
Moreover, their content focused on a young audience, and most videos featured a blend of humor and lifestyle themes. One of their most popular videos on the platform has over 10 million views.
During the recent investigation, police found spent shells from small firearms in addition to unattended weapons at the crime scene. Police concluded that the gang had voluntarily left such clues to deceive them.

Before his unfortunate demise, the United States Office of Foreign Assets and Control listed Jasper on the OFCA action list for his involvement in trafficking firearms and substances across borders.
The creator, along with his friend, Toys, was one of the prime suspects in handling the deals of substance among cartels. Many speculated that the victim triggered his demise by initiating several ‘bad moves.’
Regardless of his past actions, Jasper’s family and friends mourn his demise, and they remember him as a family man. They have described Jasper as a fun-loving person.
Additionally, his friend wrote, “I will miss you forever. I send you a hug and a kiss wherever you are, and everyone will miss you for being the good person you were.“
Many assume that prosecutors will drop the criminal charges against Jasper now that the creator is no longer among us.
