At the moment, the 24-year-old is enjoying the moment and doesn’t realize she has been moving away from her path towards a subway entryway. The pair seems to be enjoying the movement when Glazunova suddenly tumbles down the stairs, landing headfirst at the bottom of the edge.
Likewise, her screams can be heard despite the music while her friend rushes to pick her up before the screen goes blank. According to local media, Glazunova suffered from head injuries and a broken neck.
Despite medical attention, she didn’t survive the fall, as the damage to her nerve was severe. The locals and her closest acquaintances have set up a street memorial for Glazunova by the subway to mark her unfortunate demise.
Meanwhile, the video has been circulating on several social platforms, especially TikTok, where users have sent heartfelt messages to the Glazunova family to help them during this difficult time.
Georgian subway infrastructure has been criticized and blamed for the tragic fall of Arina Glazunova!
After Glazunova’s video amassed over a million views, questions about pedestrian safety in Georgian streets arose as they were concerned about the design of the subway platforms.
As per the pictures of the accident location, the subway entryway has a knee-high wall on either side, but there weren’t any railings on the pavement. This made it a dangerous structure, as people had to be extra careful while walking near it.
Likewise, the wall directly led to a five-foot drop to a flight of concrete stairs, where Glazunova tipped and fell over. During the reporting, one of the locals, Dato Akobia, claimed, “Anyone could fall over that wall.“

Looking at her social accounts, Glazunova has a passion for content creation and has over 129 posts on her private Instagram account. Her profile mentioned that she had played a role in a televised series in Russia.
Amidst the tragedy, people have pointed out that the lack of safety measures at the metro’s access point could have prevented the accident involving Glazunova and her friend.
Additionally, many have criticized using mobile devices while walking, which has become a common practice that increases the chances of such fatal accidents. TikTok users pointed out that she could have warded off the accident if Glazunova had been careful while walking.
Likewise, her family and friends hope to hold the government accountable for such infrastructure in a busy area, and one of the TikTok users supported the idea, claiming, “Who would think of leaving such a hole without even a wall or railing? The city government is guilty and has to pay millions to the family.“
