A 15-second TikTok video claiming Rainbow Magic author Daisy Meadows passed away at 40 has been going viral online.
The video caption claims that BBC News reported the author’s demise, which many believe is true, given the BBC’s brand reputation.

However, to keep the facts straight, Daisy Meadows ain’t a single author; it is a collective pseudonym used by several authors to illustrate the book Rainbow Magic.
So, the viral TikTok claiming the demise of Daisy Meadows is fake and just a hoax designed to gather attention from people who grew up reading Rainbow Magic.
BBC hasn’t reported the alleged passed-away news of author Daisy Meadows!
On September 22, 2024, TikTok user @dovehepburn uploaded a video claiming Daisy Meadows, author of the children’s book Rainbow Magic, is no more.
As per the video, the author allegedly passed away due to Cancer, and her publisher paid tribute to her, saying, “She was brilliantly talented storyteller.“
The video featured the BBC logo, and its caption also included the BBC, suggesting that BBC News featured the report. However, that is not true.
In recent times, the BBC has not reported on author Daisy Meadows, let alone her demise.

Furthermore, Daisy Meadows is reportedly a common pseudonym for multiple authors who write and illustrate stories for the book Rainbow Magic.
In addition to that, Orchard Books, the publisher of Rainbow Magic book, has not released such a tribute about Daisy Meadows.
So, it is apparent that the video was fake and not true. Despite that, many gullible people believe the story and have commented with prayers and condolences.
One commented, “Rest in Peace, Daisy Meadows. Condolences to Daisy Meadows family and friends.” Meanwhile, another wrote, “WAHH NOOOO SHE CARRIED MY CHILDHOOD 😭😭.”
But this is not the first time a TikTok video sparked a false demise hoax online! Just a while back, a video claiming Jack Hartmann is no more also went viral, but in reality, he was all good, fit, and fine, making new children’s videos.

Interestingly, the image of a woman featured in the video is Linsey Miller, who is also an author. Seeing the fake demise news under Daisy Meadows, she has tweeted multiple times.
Therefore, until and unless official statements come out from genuine news outlets, we kindly ask you to stay away from such false rumors.
