Luke Combs, a well-known American country music singer, actively shares his views on the country’s political condition, describing his frustration with social issues.
In an interview with The Independent, Combs stated that the political climate and division of the parties are so contentious that they have always been super frustrating to him.
He further added, “I think what makes our country great is people’s ability to have their own opinion and have the ability to disagree.“
In 2020, Combs released a song, “The Other Side,” in which he expressed his political views and concerns about social issues, which led to speculation about his political association.
Some people believe that he is a Democrat, while some believe that he is a Republican.
Furthermore, there were also a few assumptions about Luke being a supporter of Trump, but many believe that he doesn’t support the Republican party due to his support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Luke Combs’ song The Great Divide, released in 2021 in collaboration with Billy Strings, caused people to assume that the song was political.
Though Luke stated it was not political, fellow artist Margo Price criticized him by sharing old photos of him with a guitar and a Confederate flag sticker.
As the Confederate flag is the symbol of Southern heritage, which represents slavery and white supremacy, Price indicated Luke was being a hypocrite.

In response to his criticism, Luke stated that he didn’t realize the flag’s negative message as a young man and learned about its problematic history over time.
Moreover, Combs apologized to his fans for using the flag, stating, “I would never want to be associated with something that brings so much hurt to someone else.“
He further stated that he still regrets using the flag, but they wrote the song to address the bad activities in the world and had no intention of making it political.
