Kamilla Belyatskaya was on vacation in Thailand, documenting her journey home to Russia for her followers. She had recently uploaded photos with her soon-to-be husband, Grigorii Anokhin.
The surveillance footage showed Belyatskaya parking her car and taking a pink yoga mat to relax on the Gulfside beach of Thailand. However, she chose the rockiest area near the sea and recorded a video.
Moreover, the actress recorded the surrounding sea and claimed, “I love Sumui. But this place, this rocky beach, is the best thing I’ve seen in my life.” She took a few clips and uploaded them to her social media before a huge wave crashed on the rock.
Witnesses released videos of the incident, in which Belyatskaya seems to be struggling against the currents and trying her best to emerge from the frothing waves.
Further, her yoga mat was swept away in the water, and officials later retrieved it a few miles from the accident location. The water reached up to 9 feet, hindering the search.
Later, official reports confirmed that Belyatskaya’s body was discovered two-thirds of a mile away from where she drowned on Chaweng Beach. The Coast Guard mentioned that the rocky front was in danger before the accident.
