The Kimball Union Academy family mourns the loss of Macy Piersiak after a fatal road accident on the Vermont Highway. Due to legal reasons, her friends and family haven’t revealed much about the case.
According to police reports, Macy Piersiak was traveling on Cold River Road near Upper Cold River Road when the accident occurred around 4 am on November 10, 2024. Initially, authorities had kept the details about the victim undercover.
Moreover, the teen had been involved in a single-vehicle crash that took away her life. Piersiak had been driving southbound when her 2019 RAM 1500 pickup vehicle rolled over the centerline, crossed the road, and slammed head-on with a tree after hitting a railing.
The vehicle had been in poor condition after the accident, and the medical team announced Piersiek deceased on the scene. Her body was transferred to the nearest hospital for a postmortem report.
Police reported that Piersiak was driving alone and had no passengers. After the car accident, state troopers from the Rutland Barracks, Shrewsbury Fire Department, Rutland City Fire Department, and Regional Ambulance Service responded to the emergency.
While the actual cause of the accident is still being investigated, family members, friends, and her teachers have grieved for Macy Piersiak. Due to the situation’s sensitivity, they have refused to provide a public statement.

Born and raised in Needham, Massachusetts, Piersiak had resided in Vermont for the past few years to complete her studies at the Kimball Union Academy. The school offers high-school students postgraduate college preparation classes.
The victim joined the academy in 2023 and had plans to attend for over two years. Moreover, Piersiak balanced her education and career as a part-time payroll bookkeeper at Jack Piersiak and Sons Co.

Later, she worked as a retail sales associate at Superior Lobster & Seafood in Scituate for over three years. Recently, Piersiak joined Shop Cattivo as a part-timer in a retail sales associate position.
Looking at her LinkedIn profile, Piersiak seemed to have planned to attend university soon while continuing her professional life. However, a tragic road accident cut short her dreams, leaving her hard work and dedication unnoticed.
Apart from her educational interest, the teen was an alumnus of the Needham Football and Cheer Board. She participated in the cheer team throughout high school and won several youth championships.
Additionally, Piersiak shared a philanthropic idea as she initiated a fundraiser for people diagnosed with blood cancer. The teen worked with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise funds and managed to collect $150 before her unfortunate demise.
