The department of Santander detained Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, who used the name ‘The Doll’ and her alluring presence to draw in her victims. She had a history of unsettling crimes, including ones against her ex-boyfriend.
According to the National Police, two women, Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez and Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, were captured. As primary suspects in a violent case, the pair had exterminated a person.
Rodriguez, who used the alias ‘La Muneca’ or ‘The Doll,’ had several cases pending in the municipality of Barrancabermeja. She carried out her operations under the commands of the Los de la M gang.
Further, the suspect had been working on expanding her underground network, leading a small group of hitmen who operated to persist terror in the region.
Locals reported that her name had been associated with violent crimes. Even after her detention, her notorious nature instills fear in the people.
The 23-year-old had planned to target several gangs and their leaders. Officials noted and included a pattern in her crimes in their official statements.
Similarly, officials claimed Rodriguez often called her victims to resolve financial matters and invited them to shabby places.

However, she ambushed them without a chance to escape and took their lives. Her team members assisted and disposed of the bodies.
Colombian media has been in shambles for reporting her crimes, as many claimed that Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez would go down as one of the most calculating female criminals in the country’s history.

Despite having her hands tied behind her, many noted Rodriguez’s brutal aura as she resisted police officers and walked alone.

According to the reports, Rodriguez used similar tactics to trap her ex-boyfriend, Deyvy Jesus, who was also a prominent name in the underworld.
Similarly, she used her turbulent relationship to meet her partner and claimed she wanted to resolve a money dispute.
But, officials later found Jesus in a critical state, riddled with firearm wounds, and witnesses reported that two men on a motorcycle attacked him in broad daylight.
Her ex didn’t pass away in vain, as he reportedly informed the police about Rodriguez before having his final surgery for the wounds on his chest.
Meanwhile, netizens have added humor to the situation, and one joked, “All I got from that is that she is single and doesn’t have feelings for her ex. Jackpot!“
As the legal case proceeds, the court assumes Rodriguez might face charges for harming more than 26 people and participating in the trafficking of firearms and illegal substances across borders.
