Born and raised in Kraslava, Latvia, Jānis Timma rose above the ranks to be drafted into the NBA as a young player. He entered the sports industry in 2013 and played as an early entrant in the league.
Later, the Memphis Grizzlies drafted him in round 2, placing him on the Pick 30 list. During his time on the team, Timma had an average salary of $4.8 million, which continued to increase over the years.
