The 14-year-old Daisy Bean brought together the Lodi community as people worked to find the missing teen. According to the police reports, Bean left her house with her cat, causing unrest among her family and neighborhood.
According to the Missing People In America website and Facebook page, Daidy Bean was last seen at her home in California on October 11, 2024, around 1:30 PM. She left her house with her gray kitten, who walked on a leash.
The teen had gone to a local park where kids usually played. Bean would take her pet to the park daily, and her father, Jay, mentioned that she was easygoing and loved spending time with animals.
Moreover, the page featured Bean’s physical attributes, including height and weight, for public knowledge. The authorities urged residents with information on the teen to contact the Lodi Police Department at 209-333-6727.
Neighbors coordinated with the page, printed flyers, and placed them around California and the Bay Area to assist the authorities in their search. Further, many Facebook users volunteered for the cause, and one wrote, “This is in my town. We will be out searching for her tomorrow. Please keep sharing.“
Meanwhile, they gained over 7.4k shares within hours, and others sent heartfelt messages to Bean’s family. They were willing to help the family by any means and provided physical and virtual assistance.
After being missing for over a week, Lodi authorities confirmed that Daisy Bean had reunited with her family but remained out of the media due to the sensitive nature of the case.
Authorities speculated that Daisy Bean could be traveling to the Bay Area or Arizona for undisclosed reasons!
During the ongoing investigations, Bean’s grandparents drove nearly five hours from Southern California to help coordinate the search. They hoped to find someone who might have heard about or seen her in the suspected area.
Further, Bean’s father talked with ABC10 news teams and mentioned that the last few days had been difficult for the family. One of his daughters lived in Arizona but hadn’t heard anything from Bean about her whereabouts.
The family had searched the Bay Area one day after the teen’s disappearance with the help of 50 volunteers and urged the locals to knock on doors if they suspect anything out of the ordinary. Despite the efforts, Bean’s location couldn’t be discovered by the authorities or her family.
In the interview, Bean’s father remarked, “I don’t know how to explain. I am in lost for words to describe how hard it is to not know where your children are. Everybody’s praying. If you’re out there honey, just call me.“
Moreover, the Lodi community held a prayer vigil for the teen on Sunday at the First Baptist Church, and many of Bean’s school friends and family members attended the event. Thankfully, the teen was able to return home without sustaining life-threatening incidents.
