Family and close friends have sent encouraging words to the Berthelot family during the holiday season as they mourn the loss of their baby boy, Bowen Berthelot.
Bowen Berthelot’s father, Nick, confirmed his demise on December 23, 2024. The unfortunate news came days before Christmas, which the child had planned to spend with his grandparents.
Moreover, Nick wrote that losing a child was one of the greatest tragedies in life. He added that the holiday season became more challenging and wanted privacy for the next few weeks.
The grieving parents reminisced on their last Christmas when Bowen Berthelot received his first Elf on the Shelf. His Elf was named ‘Muffin,’ and the child was over the moon to spend the holidays with his new friend.
However, things took a shocking turn when the family lost the baby boy. His parents are yet to reveal the cause of his passing and are having a difficult time processing the news.
Similarly, close family friends have sent heartfelt messages to Nick and his wife, Kennedi. They have promised to travel across the States to spend the difficult time together.
One of their friends, Mary Hughes, added, “There are never any right words in this situation! But if everyone could please keep this beautiful family in you prayers while they go through this terrible time!“
Additionally, others added that the pain couldn’t be compared to anything else in the world and requested everyone to keep the Berthelot family in their prayers.

Over the years, Nick and his wife have often shared pictures of their babies on Facebook and Instagram. Bowen blessed the family on September 21, 2021, and was his father’s favorite.
The pair live in Denham Springs, Louisiana, and Kennedi is a realtor and salesperson at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services United Properties. Meanwhile, Nick works at C & M Outdoor Power Equipment.
Further, they had recently bought a house to raise their children lavishly. Bowen’s mother also works as a digital creator and earned a lot of followers after posting about her motherhood journey.
Previously, she shared pictures of Bowen at a Stacyc bike race alongside his best friend, JoJo. The children won gold medals in the local event, and Kennedi claimed that she was proud of her baby.
After his passing, many remarked that Bowen had a bright future and left the world too soon. Nick and his wife have moved to his parents’ home to conduct their son’s final rituals.
