Filipino rock band Aegis singer Mercy Sunot tragically passed away after a difficult battle with cancer. Mercy Sunot dedicated her career to her children throughout her active years but rarely talked about her husband.
Mercy Sunot often shared details about her family and music-making process through Instagram, but her husband’s absence hinted at their estranged relationship. The singer hadn’t revealed the duration of her relationship.
The 48-year-old took time off her busy schedule to spend with her kids, Meray and MJ. Moreover, she shared moments from their childhood and revisited the memory during her battle with cancer.
Further, Sunot supported their career as her daughter, Meray, had begun pursuing modeling for make-up brands. The singer detailed her joy towards their growth and described herself as a proud mother who set an excellent example for her children.
On her son’s 13th birthday, Sunot shared a heartwarming video and wrote, “Mama will get treatment so we can be together forever. Always think that Mama loves you. More birthdays to come, stay healthy my child.“

Despite being a single mother, Sunot had mastered her life, balancing her career until her last breath. She addressed her fans lying on the hospital bed and claimed she would be back on the band soon after receiving treatment for lung inflammation.
