Logan Slater has been reunited with his family after missing for over 36 hours, but the event has been unfortunate as authorities discovered his deceased body in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
On October 22, 2024, Logan Slater’s mother, Amanda Slater, posted on Facebook about her missing child. She mentioned that the 14-year-old had left the house around 7:55 a.m. for school and disappeared after that.
Moreover, Logan didn’t attend school or contact his friends about his plans outside of his daily routine. The teen wore a Brighouse High School uniform with a black zip-up hoodie and bag.
As the teen failed to return home in the evening, Amanda immediately called her husband, Chris, and filed a police complaint for their son. They included three pictures of Logan in the report as well as the Facebook post for public assistance.
Further, Amanda urged anyone with information about Logan to contact them directly or with their number. The post gained over 5.4k shares, and users prayed for Logan’s safety and return to his family.
Soon, people started printing pamphlets for Logan and delivering them to areas near Halifax. One user volunteered to question her neighborhood in hopes of finding any information about the missing teen.
A day later, Logan’s father updated the post and mentioned that the teen was still missing, criticizing the police for their slow investigation processes. Despite releasing a public statement, the Halifax department had failed to gather any clues for the case.
However, the family received devastating news about their child on October 24 morning as authorities discovered Logan’s body and immediately handed it to his parents for his final rituals.
Logan Slater was outside his home without his cell phone or money, concerning people about his safety!
Before the heartbreaking discovery, Logan’s father requested the locals to search through their CCTV cameras, ring doorbells, and image recording devices from 7:45 a.m. Monday onwards, see if Logan passed by the area.
Similarly, police knocked on doors and checked the neighborhood’s backyards, sheds, and other physical structures to find the teen. But, the efforts were in vain as his location couldn’t be pinpointed after 8:00 a.m.
According to his schedule, Logan should’ve exited Beechwood Park Road onto Bradford Road and could have taken multiple routes to school. But Logan had failed to do so and didn’t appear in any footage.
For any of my followers in the Halifax, West Yorkshire area please keep a look out for this young lad – Logan. Missing for nearly two days now from one of the local schools near me. Family v v worried.

Two days after Logan Slater went missing, his father posted again on Facebook, thanking everyone who had been messaging, searching, and covering the ground in search of him. Many wanted Logan’s school to interrogate students as the teen might have said something to his friends.
After crossing the 36-hour mark, the family became increasingly concerned about Logan’s welfare. It was out of character for him to pull pranks or go somewhere without informing his family.
Unfortunately, his mother shared that the authorities had found Logan and requested users to respect their privacy as the family navigated through the difficult time. Logan was the family’s middle child, leaving behind his grieving siblings and parents.
However, the family has not publicly revealed details about his case or the cause of his departure due to privacy and legal reasons.
