The politician also contested a parliamentary seat in 2009 and developed his connection with the country’s Christian political establishment. Despite being an independent candidate, he brought religious beliefs to politics.
Further, Boulos had developed a close friendship with Suleiman Frangeih, who later received support from Hezbollah to become Lebanon’s president.
Later, during Trump’s 2024 elections, Boulos campaigned for the Muslim community. The politician collaborated with Bishara Bahbah and Richard Grenall and supported the president-elect in initiating the ‘global peace’ initiative.

Meanwhile, Trump addressed Boulos during his Detroit Economic Club event during the presidential campaign and congratulated his in-law on the good news. The crowd cheered, adding to the celebration.
Similarly, the president-elect offered Boulos a position in his administration a day after Trump selected his other in-law to serve as ambassador to France.
However, in the announcement, Trump didn’t mention his family connections for political reasons and instead praised Boulos for his business experience and political involvement in the past years.
Moreover, Trump wrote, “He has been a longtime advisor of Republican and Conservative values, an asset to my campaign. Boulos played a significant role in building the agreement with the Arab American Community.“
Regardless, Boulos hasn’t revealed his plans to approach the position in the White House. People speculate that the position might help him increase his influence and wealth in the coming days.
