Libby Titus passed away news without official cause of demise sparks illness speculations online!

Libby Titus, singer and songwriter of Love Has No Pride, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 77.

Her husband, Donald Fagen, announced her demise news; however, he did not mention the official cause of her demise, which sparked widespread online speculation about her potential illness before she passed.

The legendary hippy icon Libby Titus was not active on any of the social media platforms, so fans had no clue about her life and health.

Furthermore, she led a very private lifestyle, away from all of the drama and topics of discussion among her fans.

Nevertheless, fans in the discussion forums stated that she was sick for a while. However, they did not mention what illness Libby Titus was suffering from.

Libby Titus’ legacy lives on through her art, her husband, Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen, and their children!

Born on July 6, 1947, in Woodstock, New York, Libby Titus began her musical career in 1968 with a debut album, Libby Titus, on Hot Biscuit. Later, she worked as a backing singer for Martin Mull’s album Martin Mull in 1972.

Later, in 1977, she released her famous second album, Libby Titus, with the same name as the previous one, in collaboration with famous record producers like Phil Ramone, Robbie Robertson, Paul Simon, and Carly Simon.

Her second album contained her most famous ballad, Love Has No Pride, which she co-wrote with Eric Kaz.

Following that, she went on to collab with many other artists like Burt Bacharach, Brackman, Dr. John and so on.

At the time, she was in a relationship with musician Levon Helm, and the pair welcomed a daughter, Amy Helm, in 1970.

Previously, Libby Titus was married to Barry Titus, and they had a son, Ezra Titus. Unfortunately, as per Rolling Stone magazine, Ezra took his own life in 2009.

Later, in 1987, Libby Titus met Donald Fagen, and they got married in 1993. However, the pair did not welcome any children throughout their happily married years.

Nevertheless, her daughter Amy spoke to Niagara Gazette, saying, “She was a great songwriter… She is one of those natural songwriters that didn’t really pursue it. Maybe one of these days I’ll get her to write me something I could sing.

Although Libby Titus is no longer, her art and legacy live on through her fans and beloved family.
