Bernie Moreno is on the list of becoming one of the wealthiest U.S. senators with a net worth of over $105m!

American businessman turned politician Bernie Moreno has been the best pick for Ohio’s Senator representing the Republican party. Apart from his career, Bernie Moreno has accumulated a net worth of $105 million from his family connection in politics.

Born in Bogota, Columbia, Bernie Moreno moved to the States with his family. His father, Bernardo Moreno Sr., worked as a surgical assistant, while his mother was a real estate agent. Throughout his campaign, Moreno has described his family as “lower middle class.

Moreno has referred to himself as “a car guy from Cleveland” to win the votes and the hearts of the working class in Ohio. However, looking into his family background proves his powerful ties to the country where he spent his childhood.

Before moving to the States for a better lifestyle, Moreno’s father studied gastroenterology and earned a master’s degree in surgery. Back in Columbia, he had been the country’s equivalent of secretary of health.

Further, the candidate’s father was a physician for the Colombian president, Misael Pastrana Borrero, from 1970 to 1974. He was also a doctor to industrialist Romulo Lara Borrero’s wife, which ultimately helped create a relationship with the wealthy Lara family.

Meanwhile, his mother worked with well-connected personalities and gained access to high-end properties, farmhouses, and vacation homes. The Moreno family had a considerable generational wealth from both sides of the family, including house servants and staff.

Additionally, Bernie Moreno has been grateful for his parents’ hard work, which led to a life with a high net worth. He added, “It took a lot of hard work for our family to establish ourselves. My mother and father both restarted their lives.

Bernie Moreno has family and siblings in Colombia, holding top government positions!

Despite being a well-established family in the States, most of his six siblings returned to their homeland and have flourished in their manner. One of his brothers, Luis Alberto Moreno, served as Bogota’s ambassador to the United States.

Later, he was elected president of the Inter-American Development Bank with the support of George W. Bush’s administration. Luis has a circle of friends from different political parties and follows different worldviews.

Similarly, his other sibling, Roberto Moreno, established Amarillo Holdings, a development and construction business in the Caribbean. The company has taken over significant projects in the country, including delivering over 9,122 housing units to Colombians.

Talking about their past, Roberto stated, “My parents wanted us to learn English and other culture. They wanted us to live in Florida for a while.” However, they decided to settle in the state and purchased their first home with a mortgage worth more than $300,00.

Soon, the family received money from their step-grandfather to help them move into a four-bedroom house in Pompano Beach with a pool on a canal, ocean access, and a two-car garage.

Despite his family’s wealth, Moreno purchased his first car dealership in 2005 by investing every cent. His hard work turned the business into one of the largest dealership groups in America.

In addition, the candidate developed blockchain technologies and later founded Champ Titles, which eliminated the country’s need to issue paper titles. Moreno sold most of his business to enter politics and received unwavering support from his wife, Bridget Brickley Moreno.

With a history in business, Bridget has handled most of Moreno’s assets while the candidate is busy with the Senate race. She also gives equal attention to their four children, who have been involved in politics since a young age.
